Another blowout loss, a .500 record, 5-17 in there last 22 games, lets see why. The Knicks do not match up well against the Lakers size. Most teams don't but the Knicks lack of size is very apparent when playing the Lakers. The Knicks are not a good defensive team and when the 3's aren't falling it makes for a long night. They have been getting killed on the boards in recent games and believe it or not over the last few games they miss Turiaf.

I also feel the constant Melo banter is affecting the younger players. Chandlers game has regressed over the past month or so. Fields and Galinari have been very inconsistent and even Felton's play has suffered. They are not deep on the bench and the minutes played by the starters can not be maintained over the course of the season.

I thought they would put up a better game against the Lakers but it seemed Kobe took their heart in the 1st quarter. Man, he likes playing in the Garden. Tomorrow its the Nets who have been playing well lately. Big game for the Knicks, they need to beat the teams they are supposed to beat and the Nets are one of them. They also don't need the Nets trying to claim bragging rights in NY right now, lets see what happens.

Trade talk is definitely messing with Chandler, Fields, and Gallinari. The Knicks need size desperately. Mozgov has some skill but he is not the answer.

I was excited about the Marc Gasol rumor but I don't see it happening

Gasol would be a nice fit, but as messed up as Memphis is they can't be dumb enough to let him walk. They have to keep him.

I don't think the Knicks have the players to pull off the trade anyway
