Sitting through the Patriots easy as pie 56-10 punishment of the Bills, it seemed like New England turned on Madden '08 and put it on easy and went to town, which they have done to almost every other opponent this season.
It's tough to make a case for any team to beat the Patriots, whether it be at home on the road or on the moon. I think the Colts are capable of doing it and Pittsburgh is an intriguing possibility because of how physical they can be, but of course, they are coming off a loss to the Jets.
The best part of watching Sunday night's game was making sure we all ran to the buffet spread before Madden could get his hands on it.
I felt bad for all the Bills' fans in attendance Sunday night who were very much into the game at the start, but the Patriots didn't even let them get settled into their seats before they removed all doubt about how the night would go.
Although, I'll get mine .... Here's praying the Giants don't need that game in Week 17 when the Pats come to visit.
As for the season being a forgone conclusion, the way the current NFL is, full of mediocre teams with only a handful of truly good teams, of course there is a chance the Patriots could get picked up somewhere along the line. There's a reason why only one team has gone undefeated and nobody has done it in the 16-game season. I don't believe it will happen, but we've seen too many odd things in all the sports and there have been several examples of "never happen" moments turning into "can you believe they actually did that" memories.
