Being a Mizzou fan has had it's ups and downs. This Saturday's game against the beakers should be awesome. Both teams are evenly matched with solid talent at key positions. My hunch is that it will come down to the play of the Tiger defense. If they can stop KU a few times, then the Tigers should roll. The Jayhawks have a nice defense, but they have yet to face anything like the buzzsaw that is the spread offense captained by Chase. Rucker and Coffman create huge matchup problems for the defensive secondary. Temple should have some open lanes to run in due to the extra attention on those two. I would hate being in the jayhawk secondary if Maclin ever has some space.
All in all, it should be a great game with two teams still holding on to national title aspirations. The awesome thing is that no one other than some die hard fans from Kansas or Missouri believed that either of these teams would be where they are. While the "border war" has always mattered to the fans of KU and MU, it will now matter to the rest of the country. I have a feeling that both of these teams will bring their "A" game. Hopefully, it will live up to the hype.
