Been thinking about this trade for a few days. Alot of people are comparing it to what LeBron did to Cleveland. Let's look at it this way. Melo is from NY he grew up a huge Knicks fan. His first game with the Knicks was a dream realized. He's going home where he always wanted to play. How can you fault a guy for that. At least he had the Heart to help the Nuggets get something in return for him. If he would have grown-up in Denver he would have retired there. In my personal opinion. I am from the Gulf Coast grew up a huge Saints and Skins fan. So if I were a football player my whole career I would be trying to get to the Saints or Skins.  Saints first Skins second. My Paw Paw was a huge skins fan and I have alot of family in the Virginia and West Virginia area. So to me to play for either of those teams would have been a dream come true. Anyhow he didnt go to a team that was in a large market to make bank. Team up with 2 other supposed superstars. Let's face it Wade and LeBron are on the same level but Bosh is nowhere near that. He went there because his hometown team happened to be a large market. To me at this moment in theory the Knicks made out well. For at least the next 2 seasons getting Billups with Anthony. A aging but still really smart and experienced PG. Who has played with Melo for awhile as well as some of the players that came with them. In a sense its almost like the Nuggets traded for Amare and had a coaching change. With a few new players here and there. That puts the Knicks past the Heat in the East to me.
