Ok, so I just made my school's basketball team, and need a little help. Our coach wants to run a flex offense, and I've never heard of that, so if any of you can help me understand that or have some helpful links, that would be greatly appreciated...

Actually it is not complex at all. It is a very simple basic motion. You must be disciplined and patient because it calls for a lot of screens. If you are patient with it you will get a wide open shot from the block.
I've tried using it with my high school team. Problem is, they get antsy and want a shot after the first 3-4 passes. It may sometimes take 8-10 or more ball reversals. I've never had much success with it, but many teams have. Good luck.

The flex works with some but destroys others. Personally, I never liked running the flex. I always wanted to get the ball and run the fastbreak as a point guard but for some guys (i.e. Dudley) love the flex and their game fits it perfectly. It's really all about preference. If you like to run and gun, be prepared for a year of hell.

ah s***, That's how my team played last year, It's fun, but we turned it over a lot, but since we were fast we could run and gun easily. New coach, different players, It'll be a year of hell...
