Danica placed 4th in the Nationwide race on Saturday. Is this a fluke because of fuel mileage or no? I thought she did well to be make it back onto the lead lap and to put herself in the position that fuel mileage made a difference.
She became the highest finishing female in a NASCAR history. The record had been held since 1947 by Sara Christian who finished 5th at Pittsburgh.
Kyle does have his moments still as in the Nationwide race but does not hide from the media anymore. During a caution he put on 4 tires while most got 2 He was still in top 10 if I remember right. Decided to try to make back all the places in one lap even thou there was 80ish left to go and trashed his car.
Mark Martin won the Nationwide race in Vegas.

I didn't think I would be saying this for a long while but Congratulations to danica for a good race. I watched the whole thing and although she wasn't spectacular, she just kept grinding away and had a nice finish. As for Kyle, at least he mans up now and he even said how dumb a move that was. Never tried to blame anyone but himself. I think the new wife has got him headed in the right direction. Off to work later and race watching time.

Yes, will watch the race today.....I save all my laundry for raceday, as rec room right beside laundry room..... so very efficient time for me (unless I have company, then no laundry) LOL
NO, not a fluke....That was the best driving I have seen from Danica,,,,very cautiously came from the back and passed everyone to get to 4th.....I think she had the highest passing cars number yesterday too.......her and Eury Jr seem to be clicking well.....she gave a much better post race interview also.
Happy for Mark to win....he did not have the best car yesterday and with a little luck and lots of patience he closed the deal.

to me, danica DID do better, but had a wave of luck when two in front of her crashed out vie-ing for the lucky dog position, which she then "inherited".
Highest number of passes, to me, means the car was great, but she couldnt keep it where it should be all day.
Have not seen anyone, ever, get the amount of coaching and coddling she does.. listening to her spotter/cheerleader was like listening to a 1st grade soccer coach.

Yes Danica did benefit from the lucky dog but prior to that she has missed nearly all of them in her races this year so far......so, have to say she has also improved on getting the lucky dog.
I was impressed with her yesterday ...but that was compared to her own previous performances.....I do not see her as a Champ any decade soon LOL

The announcers all but annointed her as the Messiah. I did hear that she can take water and make Kool-Aid. Kidding aside, she did better than any of the previous races that I watched her run.

and got to wondering how about a Danica / Jr Swap ... Danica #7 IRL car for Jr #88 CUP ...

I was glad that Danica earned her finish. Yes, it took some luck. But it takes 4 things to win. Skill, experience, teamwork and LUCK! Name a driver who hasn't won with luck or a competitors bad luck.

I'm glad to see a lot of the anti-Danica hate has died down. I never understood why there was so much in the first place. She may have had a few lucky breaks yesterday, but she still earned her finish. She's had a couple other races where she was running decently only to be taken out by someone else's wreck.

I missed the Kyle part on purpose......JK said all that needed to be said (#3).
As for the coaching Danica thing.......it is just good business to coach the weaker ones to bring them up to par.....letting them fumble & fail and cost you money, is not good business at all....I am in a completely different line of work and the more I coach the weak subordinates, the better results I get......so to me coaching, in any amount is a good thing.......(as long as improvement is shown LOL).

Danica would have still likely had a top 10 finish even if the other drivers didn't have to make a fuel stop.
I've never really cared for Martin, I was pulling for Brad Keselowski yesterday, I turned the race on just in time to see hi cut down a tire.

I have been dealing with TPTs at work which are students who are making money for school.
I have been surprised at how fast they learn if given a chance.
I also had to swallow some crow because some of the better workers have turned out to be women.
So now I give them alll the same chance there is twits on boths sides and easy to figure those out
