Whether you like it or not, "(Rock En Espanol)" has influenced American bands from (Santana) to (Sublime) and beyond. Todays topic is a tribute to an Alternative Band from the late 90's, "Sublime". Their self titled album/cd SUBLIME(1996) has a song called "Santeria". Here are the lyrics and the translation of some of the words which are in Spanish/slang. "I don't practice Santeria, got no crystal ball, I had a million dollars, but I'd spend it all. If I could find that Heina and that **** that she's found, I'd pop a cap in **** and I'd smack her down, all I really wanna say I can't define it's love. I need but my soul will have to wait till I get back and find a Heina of my own Daddy's love one and all I feel the break and I got to live it out I swear that I really wanna know all I really wanna say is I got mine and I'll make it yes I'm comin' up tell Sanchito that if he knows what's good for him he best go run and hide Daddy's got a new .45 and I wont think twice to put that barrel straight down ****'s throat believe me when I say that I got somethin' for his punk **** what I really wanna say is there's just one way back and I'll make it but my soul will have to wait". This band would have been a great Rock band for years to come, except for the untimely death of the singer,Brad. Some of the Spanish words used, were (Santeria)-a form of witchcraft/healing practiced in primarily South America and the Caribean Islands. (Heina)- refers to one's girlfriend. (****)-refers to a regular boyfriend that your girlfriend has without your knowledge. Of course there have been more bands that have tried to copy/emulate Sublime, such as 311 and Pepper, but the original always sounds better. 'till next time, Later Days and watch out for ****.

My humble opinion is that Sublime is entirely overrated. Like unreasonably overrated. I am not impressed by them at all.
