NFL WEEK 12 OUTLOOK
I would like to express my apologies for missing the 3 games on Turkey Day, but I always say better late than never. I have decided to curtail the analytical details of how I have derived my picks and instead offer a Fantasy Football Prospect(FFP). Keep in mind that the players I have chosen are those aside from the obvious superstars such as Brady, Moss, or T.O., who deliver prolific stats on a consistent basis. Also, BEWARE of the HOME UNDERDOGS!!! With that in mind, let's begin.....
CINNCINATI over Tennessee- With the Bengals seemingly out of the playoff picture, I see them playing as spoliers..and a good one at it. Bengals 26 Titans 24
FFP: LenDale White 111 yds, 1 TD
J. Gage 6 rec 98 yds 1 TD
JACKSONVILLE over Buffalo- Losman is on the hot seat once again. Jags too tough at home even with a banged up defense. Jaguars 23 Bills 17
FFP: Fred Taylor 18 rush 95 yds 1 TD
Lee Evans 7 rec 88 yds 1 TD
KANSAS CITY over Oakland- Chiefs are feeling a sense of urgency in an otherwise lackluster AFC West Matchup. Chiefs 24 Raiders 19
FFP: Kolby Smith 22 rush 109 yds 1 TD
Justin Fargas 19 rush 102 yds 3 rec 24 yds 1 TD
CLEVELAND over Houston- Looks to be an offensive slugfest, with the home team coming out on top. Browns sneaked one out in Baltimore, and will never look back . No dramatic FG in this game, you can relax Mr. Dawson. Browns 27 Texans 23
FFP: Braylon Edwards 6 rec 106 yds 2 TD
Owen Daniels 5 res 82 yds 1 TD
Seattle over ST. LOUIS- Both teams are off a 2 game win streak. Seahawks have won 4 straight from the Rams. It'll be 5 straight after Sunday. Seahawks 24 Rams 19
FFP: DJ Hackett 8 rec 122 yds 2 TD
Steven Jackson 22 rush 117 yds 1 TD
NY GIANTS over Minnesota- Eli will exploit the generous Vikings pass D. It's interesting to see what Taylor does for an encore. He does have a good offensive to open up lanes for him. Giants 24 Vikings 14
FFP: Sidney Rice 5 rec 78 yds 1 TD
J. Shockey 7 rec 90 yds 1 TD
New Orleans over CAROLINA- Bress and the Saints look to redeem themselves after losing 2 straight. Carolina's offense to get a spark with the return of Steve Smith who has a great match-up against the ineffective play of Jason David. Despite that, I look for Brees and Bush to put up a great performance. Saints 24 Panthers 20
FFP: Reggie Bush 19 rush 90 yds 1 TD 4 rec 33 yds 1 TD
Vinny Testaverde 20-31 att 258 yds 2 TD, 1 INT
Washington over TAMPA BAY- This game has all the ingredients for a defensive battle. It will be a match up of FG's. Redskins 22 Bucs 16
FFP: Shaun Suisham 5 FG's, 1 XP
Ike Hilliard 6 rec 85 yds 1 TD
ARIZONA over San Francisco- 49er offense is defunct, and they will have a difficult time moving the ball against an improving Cardinal D. Cardinals 27 49ers 7
FFP: Larry Fitzgerald 8 rec 128 yds 2 TD
Vernon Davis 5 rec 88 yds 1 TD
SAN DIEGO over Baltimore- This is a make or break game for Rivers, who has been a fanatsy dud the past few games. Ravens will not be focused in this game, as they are still devastated by Phil Dawson's field goal. Chargers 27 Ravens 10
FFP: Chris Chambers 6 rec 87 yds 1 TD
Devard Darling 7 rec 92 yds 1 TD
CHICAGO over Denver- A defensive battle in what looks to be a frigid Soldier Field. Grossman looks to redeem himself while the Broncos will land back down to mediocrity. Bears 20 Broncos 16
FFP: Greg Olsen 5 rec 80 yds 1 TD
Brandon Marshall 7 rec 105 yds 1 TD
NEW ENGLAND over Philadelphia- McNabb or not, the Eagles are just like speed bump. They will be slow down the Pats, but eventually they will get run over and over again. Patriots cruise on with ease. Sounds like a broken record doesn't it?
Patriots 45 Eagles 17
FFP: Donte Stallorth 6 rec 101 yds 2 TD
Bryant Westbrook 21 rush 78 yds 1 TD
PITTSBURGH over Miami- Dolphins still playing hard for their first victory. Steelers raising doubts after their shocking loss to the Jets. it's good to be home sweet home. Steelers get back on track. Steelers 27 Dolphins 17
FFP: Nate Washington 5 rec 75 yds 1 TD
Willie Parker 22 rush 130 yds 1 TD
Ted Ginn Jr 1 punt return for TD, 5 rec 77 yds
