You have to like Steve McIntyre. The Providence Bruins left wing fought his way through
five leagues in six years to get to within striking distance of an NHL career.
Like a lot of people, MacIntyre did not suffer from a lack of talent, but from a lack of belief in that talent. Rooming with a major league vet who had the self-discipline to get to the bigs, and the right coaching gave Steve the idea that he was wasting his time gooning it up in the U-Haul (UHL). He rebuilt his other hockey skills, and now finds himself a top talent in the Boston Bruins organization.
Can Big Mac make a big difference in Boston? The full story is this month's cover at MLN Sports Zone, or pick up the story in future months from the Providence Bruins team library at SZ.
