I just about had it with the favoritism and the buddy buddy system of the FOX crew, specialty DW, he seems to make this broadcast his personal greeting card to his favorite drivers.
If it wasn't for Mike Joy you would never know there was a driver named Juan Pablo Montoya on the track.
I would understand if # 42 was running in the back 30, but he has two top 5 and four top 10 and is now seventh in the standings after just six races.
Another thing that bothers me is the constant reference to Juan's F1 experience, hey guys in case you haven't noticed Mr. Montoya has become a stock car driver.
Juan Pablo looks to be uncomfortable answering questions about Formula 1, I believe he is tired of addressing the subject, he has moved on and maybe is time for all the NASCAR media to "also" move on.
Agree?
What proof do I have that Juan Pablo has become a legitimate stock car driver?
Lets just look at the stats cnd compare them to drivers with the same number of races or drivers with five or six years in cup.
I can think of two drivers with stats that aren't even close to Juan Pablo Montoya's but consistently get props from the broadcasters, who are they ? well I'm not going there, I happen to like those drivers, but you guys can look up the stats, it will be easy to figure it out.
Juan Pablo Montoya's stats after four full seasons and six races in 2011:
151 starts
45 top tens
20 top fives
Oh and yea two wins.
Not bad for someone who had never been in a stock car except for that car exchange with Jeff Gordon back in the middle ages.
Oh well I guess I have a choice to turn down the sound and listen to the radio, I'll start that next week.
As always this is just my opinion and from what I understand everybody has one and I thank God for that.
Enough said.
