I cant go because Im sick, and it makes me mad, but I can put in this little preview.
The Browns offense will have to come in this game swinging AND STAY THAT WAY!!!! We always start the game great, but after half time we look like a whole different team (sort of like the 49ers offense!).
Key match-ups of the game.
This one is most likely the make or break of the game and will be a great one with two young studs
Corner back Leigh Bodden vs. WR Andre johnson
'Dre Johnson has been unstopable this year by anything but an injury, but he hasnt faced off against Leigh Bodden yet. Dispite the Browns being the worst defense in the league, Leigh is still among the elite Cbs in the NFL and it should be a great match-up worth watching.
QB- Matt Shaub vs. Derek Anderson
Derek Anderson takes this one easily. He has been a great QB this year with some talk of a possibility of a pro bowl spot for him. Shaub has been incredibly average posting only 7 touchdowns and 7 interceptions.
Cleveland also takes the RB battle clearly. Ahman Green has been absolutley terrible this year and Ron Dayne hasnt been much better. You can blame the O-line for this but at some extent the runners have to take responsibiliity for their horrible play. With all this being said, I am certainly not saying Jamal Lewis has been good. Dont let his numbers fool you. He had over 200 yards in one game and 4 TDs in another. Most of his stats are from two games and is constantly getting dropped in the backfield and cant muster many runs ecspecially not busting the big one. He is still better than Ahman and Ron though.
Cleveland, once again, gets the WRs. Say what you want about 'dre, but when it comes down to it, Braylon beats him out every time. He just makes fantastic catch after fantastic catch. Joe jurevicius is proven to be a steady #2 WR and Josh Cribbs comes in on certain offensive sets at the #4 or 5 WR.
TE- Well, no suprise here? Cleveland again! If it isnt enough that Kellen Winslow will be a sure fire pro-bowler, Steve Heiden (the back up TE) is pretty good too. Kellen will easily have 1,000 yards this year and might even push 1,200. He has great hands and will beat out Owen Daniels any day.
Defense- Aw crap, I am going to have to give one to the Texans. This difference is so big though, that it beats out every advantage that the Browns have. The Browns have "earned" the worst defense in the league and the Texans have a very talented and young defense that will be, if they are not already, be amongst the best in the NFL for years to come. they have been drafting so much defensive talent and it is finally paying off for them. How do you think they got to 5-5? Their offense? LOL! All defense. This could be the game changer for the Browns.
Special teams- LOL!!!!!!!!! Yet another win for the Browns. Need I explain? They have the best kick returner in the game in Josh Cribbs (just ask the Steelers)
Final score projection
It should be a good'in
