There's only two.

1) Is David Garrard an Elite QB?

Truth be told, it all depends on how you classify an "elite" QB. Garrad in 8 games is 136/209 (65.1%), 1626 yards, 9 TDs, 0 INTs for a 103.1 Rating. He is the only starting QB left in the league that hasn't thrown an INT, and his rating is 4th best in the league.

While yes, he's not out there throwing 2 TDs+ a game, he's not doing anything to make the Jags lose though. He has 1 total turnover this year, and that was a lost fumble on a bad snap.

Does an elite QB have to be someone like Favre or Manning that throws about 2 TDs a game and ~250 yards? Or does an elite QB just have to be someone that controls the game and doesn't lose it for the team.

Yes, Garrard is an excellent game manager. Is he elite? It's up to you.

2) LSU is massively overrated.

I can't believe they only fell to #5 in the AP Top 25. Looking at that they're going to be BCS #6 at worst. What a load.

They're 10-2 and they just lost to a team that's nowhere close to sniffing the Top 25, and who was 7-4 going into the game. They're 10-2 instead of 8-4 because of two miracles: A) The 5/5 against Florida and B) The last second miracle TD (READ: defensive meltdown) against Auburn.

LSU should've fallen out of the Top 10.

Seriously. LSU lost to an unranked team and fell from 1 to 5. Kansas lost to the #3 team and fell from 2 to 7. What kinda bullcrap is that?

The members of the media seriously need to pull their heads out of their arses.

First- Garrard isn't close to being an elite quarterback. He is an above average game manager, but he is not a playmaker, which an elite QB must be.

Also, you know the BCS standings already came out, right? They're #7.

You know what is really unjust? Virginia Tech is right ahead of them, at #6. LSU and Tech have the same number of losses. Sure, Tech lost to tougher teams... but they also lost to LSU 48-7. That isn't a fluke. LSU is better, and should be higher than VT.

That is the beauty of the BCS.

VT is a much better team than they were the second week of the season.

A rematch would be much, much closer, and I believe VT could possibly win.

And I posted that before the BCS came out anyways

And as for your "elite QBs must be playmakers", Tom Brady is an elite QB.

Before this year he was just a game manager, but he WAS an elite QB.

The most TDs he had ever thrown was 28, and sure Garrard won't reach that, but Brady was nowhere near the "playmaker" players such as Manning, Favre, Palmer, and the others were.

No, because Brady had something special. He had that it. You don't have to throw for 30 TDs to be a playmaker. It is that thing that you can see when they play. Like, whenever you need a clutch throw or a clutch play or a clutch drive, that QB does it. Or whenever you see an incredible throw, it comes from an elite QB.

You don't see Garrard firing bombs, or throwing touchdowns as he is being dragged down by Jason Taylor, like Romo does.

You don't see Garrard lighting up a game, like Manning does.

You don't see Garrard making incredible plays with the ball in any way possible, like Favre does.

Let's also not ignore the fact that Garrard's WRs are pretty much converted TEs or a converted QB (LOL Matt Jones).

Seriously. None of Garrard's WRs have the ability to go deep, as all of them lack that "burst", let alone speed. The one that does (LOL Whitey) can't even catch either.

Seriously, they're all 6'3"+. It's like having a bunch of TEs playing at WR.
