Yet another embarrassing playoff game for the constant underacheiving Sharks. After a less than impressive game one victory, we return to the typical bored not paying attention team that was out of the playoffs in January. When will this team ever learn?
I've said it before & I'll say it again: This team will never win the cup with the players it has. Yes certain players stay, certain players go. But some things never change. Is it the coach? No. They played like this under Ron Wilson & even sometimes under Darryl Sutter. Is it the GM? Maybe. Doug Wilson likes a certain type of player & that's who he brings in.
The reality is this team isn't that interested. most players are spending their off days setting up tee times. Last playoff season it was well known that Ryanne Clowe & Dany Heatley were regulars at Giants games. Do that after the playoffs. Well the good news is they will be able to attend a lot of games within a month because this team won't make it past the 2nd round. Maybe not even this round.
These players need to go. Marleau never should have been captain & Thornton has no business being one now. Just give it to Pavelski or Boyle. At least they seem awake. Sometimes.
