The NCAA rules committee recently announced that they will be moving the 3-point line back. The old distance was 19 feet, 9 inches. The new distance will be 20 feet, 9 inches (a foot farther back). The line is now longer than the international distance (20 feet, 6 inches) but is still shorter than the NBA (23 feet, 9 inches). I like the idea of moving it back. It almost seemed too easy for sharpshooters like JJ Redick.
