DALLAS TEXAS-The NBA will have to wait. Osama Bin Laden has been dead since Sunday. And as a american, I'm glad that justice has been served. Everyone is celebrating his death I can see why the would but that's not right. I'm a Christian and I just don't celebrate deaths. But that's the only way Justice could of been served, and it was. On 9/11/2001, I was only 5 years old, so I don't remember much at all from that day. I do remember being picked up early from Kindergarten that's all I can remember from that day. If you do have a story, about where you where and what you we're doing, please Email me the story! *Now in case you didn't notice, there was a basketball game on last-night* IT'S 2-0 IN THE SERIES AGAINST THE DEFENDING NBA CHAMPION LA LAKERS. Is this really happening? Are the Mavericks really up 2-0 games on L.A? it's happening. And for those who have been saying bad things about this Mavs team in the post-season well what do you have to say now. But, I shouldn't get to cocky because if anything this series is far from over. With still, 2 games to be played in it Games 3&4 in Dallas. If the Mavs can win on the road at L.A than what makes you think they can't win on at home against them? It would seem like it would make them even better playing at home. Should I feel uneasy? is this to good to be true? or are the Mavericks really going to put a end to Phil Jackson's coaching career? Most of these questions will be answered in Game 3 which should serve as a test game for Dallas. If they win that puts even more cushion for the Mavs and even more pressure to play better for L..A which usually, forces teams to make more mistakes and not play their game. If that's the case for Friday night's game 3 of this series, than L.A is done for sure This might be their last chapter. But if they win at Dallas, hey, it will be a series. But like I said earlier in this column, if Dallas can win on the road, at L.A (the defending NBA champions) than how can they not win at home against them? 10 THINGS I THINK I THINK/some about why Mavs should win series: #10 I think Dirk will have a monster game at home vs. LA: Dirk has scored a combined 51 points in the first two games @the Lakers. Something tells me at home, he will do even better I say 34 points in Game 3. #9 The Lakers run is over: It's been a nice run for them while it's lasted. But nothing is unlimited and it's going to end after this season, I think regardless the outcome of this series. But a stronger indication would be if, the Lakers end up losing this series (trail 0-2). #8 LA Laker fans aren't loyal: During Game 2 last night, Lakers player Pau Gasol got booed from his very own L.A Laker fans. Wow, I guess those 2 championship rings he helped you win mean nothing to you. Be glad if you'r a Laker fan. #7 The Mavericks are more hungry than the Lakers: I know what you'r thinking, "what?, the Mavericks are up 2-0 on L.A how can they be more hungry than the Lakers? let me explain: The Mavs are more hungry simply because they have only 1 playoff series in the last 4 years how many have the Lakers won in the last 4 years? well, let me put it this way, it's a lot more than Dallas. And Yes, L.A is hungry in this series but overall, the Mavericks should be the most hungry team based off of their recent post-season history. #6 As long as Kobe Bryant is still in the post-season, the Lakers have a shot: Yes, I know it's a 2-0 whole, but if you think about, it's not to big of a whole. And if anything, Kobe Bryant will be out in Game 3 mad and hungry for that game. #5 The last time the Mavericks had a 2-0 series lead, they blew it and lost the series will it happen again?: 2006 NBA Finals VS. the Miami Heat the Mavericks had a 2-0 series lead. But that wen't a way quickly, as the Heat came back to win 4 games in a row: I Don't see that happening. No way, I don't see L.A winning 4 games in a row from here on. And even if they do, they will be to tired and drained out to beat their next opponent (if they come back and win series). #4 The Lakers stopped Chris Paul, how have they not been able to stop J.J Bareja?: My best hunch would be: Bareja is just playing with more energy than Paul did against them #3 The Lakers are worse off than Boston is in their 0-2 whole: Don't worry Celtics fans, your series is heading back to Boston for games 3 and 4 this is far from over. As so is the LA./DALLAS Series, but the Celtics just have the most experience and they know what they'r doing. Not that Kobe doesn't, but the Mavericks are looking red-hot how can I not pick them in a time like this? #2 L.A won't win this series, because of their lack of depth in shooting players: With Peja, Barrea, Dirk, Terry, the Lakers can't stop them. The Mavericks shooting is the key to winning this series. Can they continue to shoot the ball at a high %? if so they will win this series. #1 J. Kidd wasn't on 06 Mavs team: Which brings me to this, that could of been a reason, or a missing piece, a key piece of how the Mavericks let the Miami Heat come back in the series. Yes, Dwayne Wade you did lead you'r team back into this series, but I don't wan't to give one player all the credit for their own historical comeback.
