what did you think of the race?

What stuck out in your mind that was good or bad with the race?

Was Kyle in the right punting Kevin in the wall?

Not so sure Kevin will be so Happy after last night.

Klye sure ran from Kevin after race. Looked like a true coward in my eyes.

Good to see some of the lesser teams at the front. Furniture Row for one.

Great job for Regan

I thought it was good to see a new face in Winners Circle. Happy is one of the last guys I would want mad at me! LOL

May 8, 2011  11:44 AM ET

I saw the repeats of Happy and Kyle aftermath.
Happy made it that I would like to see the next race very much so.
Hopefully not another Saturday night race.
On afternnons this week

Next Race K ..... Dover on Sunday ...green flag about 1:15 pm / ET ....

be Interesting what comes Down from NASCAR on Tuesday ... on the Kyle & Kevin, Pit Road Deal .... just probation or Points .....

How can Regan Smith, put together some more top5 finishes, in the next 16 races to move into the top20 in Points before the Chase .... right now 27th in Points

I loved the old school Saturday Night excitment going on. The Vickers/Reagan wreck was one of the coolest crashes I've ever seen (freak accident almost). The fight made it fun, but most of all I loved seeing a new winner. I've enjoyed this season because of the variety.

Loved the race.....loved it, that there was a new winner....Congrats to Regan Smith
A big kick in the backside to Kyle......he purposely went down and aimed his car at Harvick after Bowyer hit the wall....the Kyle had the nerve to say he had nowhere to go.....can add big fat liar to his many "attributes".....Harvick's polite "not saying nothing" post race interview indiactes big revenge coming LOL

overall loved all the excitement on the pits, during and after the race.

May 8, 2011  01:47 PM ET

Also was impressed wtih all the drivers that came up to congratulate Ragan......good to see that.

May 8, 2011  02:03 PM ET

I liked the race too. Some decent action, great finish. Loved to see Smith win it and the reaction from the drivers. Like I said in the last thread it was great to see a line of drivers waiting to congratulate him after Smith was through with his post race interview. Edwards also made a point of congratulating him after he held him off.

Once again a late pit stop dooms Junior. This time he came in too fast and took out the cone. I think he seriously needs to try to figure out what he is being punished for. Maybe Senior is doing things to torment him.

If NASCAR doesn't give Kyle a serious penalty something is very wrong. He went out of his way to hook Harvick and then the incident on pit row.

I can not imagine Nascar even having a comment on the Busch/Harvick deal. It is the kind of action they wanted .... You know "boys have at it". 29 bumps 18... 18 bumps 29 .. Excitement in the pits after the race. No harm done... other than what the 18 driver did for his image. Hell, it was a decent ending to Nascar's 1st decent event in ages.

Just read some comments on NASCAR.com and it seems they agree with you 22. They called both Harvick and Bush into the hauler and the main topic of discussion was what happened on pit row not so much what happened on the track. Personally I thought that the racin is rubbin ended when Bush drove down and deliberately spun Harvick.

I think Gordon had to go back into the pits a second time at the end. I think that he had some loose lugnuts?

I figured KB would have gotten off with nothing if he sat in the car and took a punch or two from Harvick. But because of he pushed the 29 without a driver in the car sending it into the inside pit wall that is where NASCAR will have a problem and probably end up with a penalty.

Although I thought it was funny watching the 18 try to run away from the 29 all the way up to the danger of sending the car uncontrolled into the wall with people on the other side.

OK

Daytona 500 - First time winner.
"Southern" 500 - first time winner

Who's going to be the first time winner at the Coke 600 in three weeks?

Strange that Harvick got out of his car ....

and what left in Neutral ... NOT in gear ....

cause that would be the Only way KB could have Push it like that ....

... NOT defending KB .... but, what is up with that ....

... the name of the Race ... the "Showtime" Southern 500 ... is right ...

... After KB & Happy little Dance on the Track .... NASCAR did Not have time to get down to the End of Pit Road .... with what two Officials in Each Pit stall .... sure, RIGHT ...

its Showtime Boys ;)

May 8, 2011  09:24 PM ET

From ESPN .... Busch said he blew out his reverse during this maneuver, (The Post Race Dance) then did a U-turn onto pit road. ...

So KB could not back up .... Whatever....

Harvicks in car camera showed that kryle rams it twice them pushes it, wouldn't that have knocked it out of gear? Just a question.

I'm pretty sure he forgot to set the parking brake, but I also am pretty sure No ONE thought Kryle would shove it in the wall running away, Ha!

I did. I figured he was going to wait until Harvick was out of the car and unable to continue the chase.

Good race.Lots of action,good racin,good endin.
Carl was a good sport about bein 2nd and congratulatin Regan Smith.
Don't much like Kyle but don't like sayin what I think of him and what he does, because my driver Carl can do stupid things too.Carl has a short fuse, but the idiot of the year trophy belongs to Kyle. Never bought his "new tamer image". Just seems fake to me

Missed the whole darn weekend.

Started out saturday morning with getting a new stainless steel sink at lowes, ended up cutting my hand on a sharp edge while unpacking the dam thing and going to the ER for stitches, no big deal, been cut and sown so many times I have truly lost count. While in the ER, wife was to contact mother about sunday schedule, I get home and find out trying to reach for the phone, mom fell, so we ended up taking her to another hospital ER and spending 8 more hours waiting for anybody to tell us anything at all, to learn they would be admitting her for a broken hip. Then we blow all of sunday trying to get anybody to tell us whats next, surgery etc, or at least telling us when we might even be able to be TOLD whats next.

anyway, surgery today, then determination on her longer term care needs.

Good for Smith, nice to see a new winner
