Dan is a great journalist. When he says something is happening his accuracy is about 99%. Dan knows nothing about boxing itself. Can't break down a fight worth the crap, you think that fat man ever strapped on a pair of gloves?

Ironic? No that is irony at all, just a coincidence. Not sure who had the better over all performance vs Mosley. Mayweather had the better fight for viewing but lost that one round where Pac had a clean shutout IMO. Pac didn't look great in that fight. Maybe he wasn't challenged or his legs cramped up on him. I thought Pac looked a little slow in the fight with Margarito and was hurt in that fight as well. He better be 100% for Marquez because Marquez will bring it, trust me. Never count out the Mexicans, they are on a huge role right now.

Is Mayweather careful with his opponent selection? Yea but Pac is getting the same criticism. At least this time he is facing a top fighter.

Perfect scenario other than Floyd of course. They will never fight Martinez unless they make him go down to a weight where he will be ineffective so that fight is out as well. Martinez can't make 150 and Team Pac won't do a fight at 154. IMO this fight doesn't have to happen because they are too far apart in size.

Right now there is no one at welterweight. Funny how a division can go from one of the deepest to one of the thinest in just two years. This is why I say the winner of Khan and Bradley because the winner of that fight would be the lineal champion jr welterweight who is in their prime and coming off a decent string of victories. I am of course looking past the trainers and promotional problems.

Not saying Pac wouldn't destroy them but at least its a prime opponent who is fresh.

As of today my opinion of Khan has just dropped. Bradley wouldn't fight him for reasons I won't get into so the next logical fight would be the next best belt holder at 140 in Zab Judah. Well Khan released a statement saying Zab is a runner and he won't fight him. Zab a runner? Might be a lot of things, a runner he is not. Khan is looking like the runner to me. Khan wants to become a superstar but ducking Zab won't get him there. He is talking about fighting Guerrero which is ok but I have a problem with it. I do think Guerrero would beat Zab as of today but Zab is still more proven at 140 and should get that fight.


So as of today Khan can go @#$@ himself. Should have fought Prescott in his last fight but went with some British guy I have never heard of and now this.

I'm not sure where I stand on that, Bucky. I saw Teddy Atlas on Friday Night Fights and he was trying to cast a little bit of doubt on Manny's legacy. (He might of been playing devil's advocate a bit because the other guys weren't bringing much to the table). But he was suggesting that Floyd's record might actually be more impressive since he faced the same guys as Manny but when they were all a little younger and a little more agressive in terms of pulling off the upset. He said that because Floyd took his time with these guys, it exposed their current weaknesses. I like Atlas even though a lot of boxing fans don't but with that said, he says a lot of stupid things. I just like him calling fights because he will point out flaws or strengths of a fighter as it happens. His predictions are awful and his comments can be way off. I heard these comments too.

What he said was off but not without any merit. In boxing fighters do wear down as they keep fighting so Manny is getting guys who are a little more damaged than when Floyd got them. The thing I would counter with to Teddy is that Floyd doesn't ruin fighters. Makes them look stupid in the ring but it is not like he draws them into a war and takes the life out of them. Confidence might be a little shot but the difference physically would be negligible IMO..

Manny hasn't ducked anyone literally but he could have fought Mosley before Floyd and they didn't seem to want anything to do with him and went with Clottey. Not saying the result would have been much different but it would not give Teddy the room to say what he did. Its always better to be first even if you do it faster than your nemesis after him.

As far as Floyd-Manny comparisons wouldn't make more sense to fight Marquez since he did get owned by Floyd but Manny struggled with and might have needed some outside assistance to get the nod? Just a thought.

Zab on most boxing threads I have been on wasn't an opponent most wanted to see. Most still want to see the Marquez fight because we have been waiting so long for it. Zab just has been owned by too many guys IMO. All for guys earning another shot but Zab needs to do that yet. Now of course Khan running from him makes this harder. Maybe Bradley will step in and fight Zab but don't hold your breathe. Its not that I don't like Zab, I just don't see much of anything he does that would even bother Manny. In face I see a really quick fight.

Bucky, you at least have to admit that ZAB JUDAH is a great boxing name. Even without the "Super".

I like Zab and I think he is more focused as a fighter as of now. I think he is a force at 140, if I didn't I wouldn't have bothered getting his last couple of fights. He never was big enough for Welterweight. He just isn't a viable opponent for the elite. Too chinny and fades in fights.

Who would you guys favor in a fight vs Zab and Marquez at 140? That was going to be Marquez's next fight had he stayed with Golden Boy. You know who I am taking.

It's a conspiracy.. Mayweather has no reason to fight Manny.. He's scared to blemish his record, and crap out his value.. These two will pull the plug late.. I think they'll pull the plug when there's damn nobody and Pacquaio's 4 fights he says he has left will eventually end with the big bang'er the money maker... Floyd Mayweather.. I have a lot of respect for Floyd in the ring but not out of it of course..He does know how to market himself like a mofo, even if that's dodging a fight here or there.. Manny vs Floyd right now would probably generate 40 a piece to each of their wallets.. Say a couple years down the road.. It could hit 50 or 60 million plus.. Why would you fight again?
