WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU????
LeBron James is in his what, 4th year now? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe he single handedly led the Cavs to the NBA Finals in a shorter time than Michael Jordan, Oscar Robertson, Charles Barkely, and James Worthy did. And when those players did, they all had their right hand man. MJ and Scottie. Big O and Kareem. Sir Charles and Dr. J. Big Game James, Magic and Kareem. LeBron James has a side kick whose nick name is Boobie.
Last night, the Cavs were down by 5 entering half time. LeBron injured his right index finger in the second quarter, and was knocked out of the game. Now, a normal team, when there superstar goes down, they have a supporting cast who can save the team. Apparently the Cavs are not a normal team. Sasha Pavlovic had 13, Drew Gooden had 9, Z had 8, and the man who is being annointed as LeBron's Robin, Daniel Gibson, lit up the arena with an astonishing 5. LeBron led the Cleveland Cavaliers in points and assists, with 15 and 3 respectivley. And he didn't play the second half.
Mr. Ferry, have you heard of a man by the name of Kobe Bryant? In case you haven't, Kobe is the star player over in L.A. He is unhappy, because the front office is allergic to getting him help. Now, Kobe wants out. Also, in Minnesota, Kevin Garnett busted his hump for 12 years, largely by himself. The most he got? Latrell Spreewell, Stephon Marbury, and Sam Cassell. Now, the Big Ticket is living large in Boston, and last time I checked, the Wolves fell of the face of the earth.
In Orlando, Boston, San Antonio, Denver, Houston, Dallas, New Jersey, Detroit and Phoenix, there are at least two players of All-Star caliber. So what, you ask? They are the top teams in the Association. If the Cleveland Cavaliers want to be considered a "good" team, you should give some thought to signing a big name before 08-09 rolls around. This year, you were chasing Anderson Varejao across South America, and still, he doesn't want to play. Is Cedric Simmons seriously the most you could get? In a HUGE year for free agency next year, Ron Artest, Gilbert Arenas, Pau Gasol, Antwan Jamison and Mike Bibby will be free agents. You should know what to do.
LeBro can opt out at the end of next season. If there is nobody for him to share the rock with, I won't blame him if he walks. And if he does, then the Cavs will fade into oblivion. And then, there will be synchronised crying across Ohio, from Cleveland to Youngstown to Akron, down to Columbus, Cincinnatti, and Dayton, and back up to Toledo. And you will have no one to blame but yourself.
