Did NASCAR miss the call in Sunday's Coca-Cola 600.
Did the fact that it was Dale Earnhardt jr leading the race had anything to do with the no call.
Folks I'm making no judgement here, I'm just asking.
After seeing the # 31 turned on the track, #2 having what looked like an exploding tire and car debris flying all over the track I really feel this a fair question to ask.
Once again let me ask you folks, should the caution flag have been flying at the end of the Coca-Cola 600?
This call will once again puts NASCAR in a situation of having to defend their decision , the JR haters will say NASCAR does everything they can to help Dale Jr.
I don't believe that is true but sometimes one has to wonder.
Enough said.

I like Jr., but he's not my driver. If the yellow flag wasn't flying more or less immediately after the wrecks with 2 to go, then it shouldn't have been thrown. The cars cleared out pretty well, and the track was clear enough to let them go.
Of course Nascar would probably like a Jr. win, but they also want a good finish to any race. Throwing another yellow flag would have set off a whole new round of cars running out of gas under yellow and the win going to someone much less deserving. That's when it starts to lose its excitement for me. Not throwing the yellow flag provided a good finish to the race.

The caution flag can be a double edged sword especially at the end of a race. We know NASCAR has thrown it for less then what happened Sunday night.
Had the spins happened 50 laps before hand there would have been a caution, but Grizz and Float are right what was done was correct for the time. there was no visible hazard like debris on the track, the cars had moved on, and another restart would have made a bigger mess with probably a worse wreck.

Right call...but if someone else was in the lead, the yellow just might have come out - IMO
NASCAR seems to love the green/white checker

Some truth in that...I think most fans want for rules to at least "look" like they are for everyone, you at least have to agree that once in a while they "bend" the rules for some folks...at least that is the perception.....
