Another reason America hates soccer. This crook has no business being elected anything other than leader of his prison cell. Massive bribery to decide what country gets the World Cup? No problem! He was the only candidate because the only other person withdraw because of bribes. Oh brother.
It has been alleged that Qatar paid bribes to voters before the election for the awarding of the 2022 games. The emirate beat out South Korea, Japan, Australia & the US. The president of the German Football Association is asking for an investigation. Note: Germany wasn't in the running so it's not sour grapes.
Get this: a suspended FIFA VP released an e-mail from the sec gen who refers to the other guy running for president "thought you could buy fifa like they bought the world cup". Then of course the guy who wrote the e-mail claiming that's not what he meant. Oh yes it is!
Maybe we should get rid of the World Cup & maybe this dishonest sport all together.
