Dear BCS: You suck. No one likes you. SIncerely, North America. Now then, lets get on with it. The BCS is, for lack of a better word, a quagmire of death. But how do we fix it? A playoff system, no duh. But what about the bowls? Use them as seeding tools. Cut down the number of bowls, first of all. Keep the Rose, Sugar, Orange, Fiesta, Cotton, Peach (f you Chick-fil-a), Gator, and Citrus (f you Capital One) bowls. The top 16 teams get paired off in each of these bowls. Winners advance to the quarterfinals, and the winners of those go to the semifinals, and the two remaining teams play in the national championship. Like this: (excuse my Mac's refusal to recognize the enter button.)
Rose Bowl: 1. Ohio State vs. 16. Tennessee
Sugar Bowl: 2. LSU vs. 15. Clemson
Orange Bowl: 3. Oklahoma vs. 14. Boston College
Fiesta Bowl: 4. Georgia vs. 13. Illinois
Cotton Bowl: 5. Virginia Tech vs. 12. Arizona State
Peach Bowl: 6. USC vs. 11. West Virginia
Gator Bowl: 7. Missouri vs. 10 Hawaii
Citrus: 8. Kansas vs. 9. Florida
Winners go to quarter finals:
1. Ohio State vs. 9. Florida
2. LSU vs. 7. Missouri
3. Oklahoma vs. 6. Florida
4. Georgia vs. 5. Virginia Tech
Semifinals:
1. Ohio State vs. 5. Virginia Tech (HOMER PICK)
2. LSU vs. 3. Oklahoma
National Title Game
1. Ohio State vs. 2. LSU
National Champions
LSU Tigers (see, I'm not a homer all the time)
