Grandpa was on the USS George Washington - took Wilson to France to deliver his 14 points

Uncle Bob was a 17 year old Marine - first wave ashore at Guadacanal

Dad was on the USS Consolation off the coast of Korea - rescuing downed pilots

Cousin John fought the secret war - led black ops in Cambodia while Uncle John walked point  in Vietnam

And me?

All so we can look up and smile on days like this

Most of my uncles served in WW2, my dad was in the Navy. I've still got one of my uncle's medals in my gun safe. Been a while since I pulled them out, but I think they are a Purple Heart and Silver Star.
