That’s right folks, yesterday we finally got a glimpse of the top overall pick in this years NFL draft…and a glimpse was all it really was. For some strange reason, coach Lane Kiffin decided the right time to give Russell some experience was early in the second quarter of the game. Russell led the team on two scoreless drives (going 4-for-7 for 56 yards) before being replaced by the games starter, Josh McCown. I guess maybe Kiffin wasn’t ready to start him, but he also didn’t want to bring him in with the game on the line in the second half…but it still seemed a little odd to me. Who knows how the Oakland quarterback situation will play out over the rest of the season though, with McCown, Culpepper and Russell in the mix, but I guess we’ll just wait and see what kind of tricks Kiffin has up his sleeves.

Anyways, with the Patriots about to beat the Ravens and move to 12-0 tonight, here is a recap of the action that took place yesterday (including Thursday’s game as well)…
