I just want to start out by saying that I like college football, but I like soccer even more. And write now I see a controversy as big or bigger than the BCS. It's the draw for the Euro 2008 that was held Sunday morning. First, I'll start by listing the draw.
Group A
1. Switzerland
2. Czech Republic
3. Portugal
4. Turkey
Group B
1. Austria
2. Croatia
3. Germany
4. Poland
Group C
1. Netherlands
2. Italy
3. Romania
4. France
Group D
1. Greece
2. Sweden
3. Spain
4. Russia
Alright, now I'll get to my argument. I completely understand the draw process and understand how it works. But I just don't understand how you can have three of the world's best in one group. I don't mean to take anything away from any team, but in all fairness Group D is the worst group, and I honestly think that Spain will mop the floor with all of them. So here is my thing, why keep Italy, France, and the Netherlands in the same group. They should exchange one of the three from Group C for Sweden or Russia. I know thta you can't pick and choose what games you want to see, but only the best 8 should make the Quarter-Finals. In this case that should be Portugal, Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Netherlands, Italy, France, and Spain. I know you may say that Group B is a little weak, but I like the look of that group. Every match should be close and very entertaining. Please leave your comments on whether or not this is a big deal to you or not.
