So what did you think of Saturday night race?
Did you watch the race in the first place?
Was it entertaining enough to watch it threw to the finish?
Did you like to see David Ragan win the race?
What did you like or dislike about the race?

Thought it was funny after the first wreck ..... when drivers lost their PROM dates, #24 #5 together all race pits and then after 195 laps had to find new dates for the final dance ... and a lot them had Two Left Feet / WRECKS ....

Hard to like the race.
Liked seeing Ragan win though. Makes up for the bonehead move he pulled in the 500.
I also like what Junior was saying about the pairs racing. If they are going to allow that kind of stuff then they ought to have co-winners. The guy who crossed the line first and the guy who was pushing him should share the trophy.

Put a trailer hitch on them if they're going to go around like that.

I honestly don't see how different this is from the "old style" of plate racing, you needed a partner then, you need one now.
When pack racing if you pulled out to pass someone you needed at least 1 guy to go with you or you'd end up being fright trained to the back of the field. And in many cases you needed more people to go with you then the guy(s) you were passing.
With the 2-car draft you need a buddy to race behind you. Now all you need to make a pass is a single person to draft with instead of 4-5+. Yes the field is more spread out and going from 20th to first is harder, but the race can be safer as many of the wrecks are for single car incidents as apposed to 1 wreck taking out half the field before the first quarter of the race is over. And we still can get that from time to time.

The older I get, the more I agree with 22GA. The racing(?) at Daytona has been reduced to tag-team matches. Since NASCAR is becoming the WWE, I guess it was a logical progression. I am anxious to see the racing in Kentucky. I am hopeful that this track turns out to be more "fan friendly for racing".

It makes a difference what kind of "getting old " you embrace. Some of the old folks here wear their pants up around their chest. Imagine getting your chest hair caught in your zipper.

I watched the race from the exit of turn 4.
It was entertaining to a point.
Gordon's save was one incredible piece of driving. That happened right in front of me and I had to see the replay to make sure what I saw was what had happened.
The 2x2 racing even looks weird in person. There ends being entirely too much reliance on your dance partner.
After Keselowski and Bayne had their incident, Keselowski didn't have a partner. He was averaging about 15mph average less than the field. He got sucked up in pretty short order.
The tension was palpable as the laps wound down. They were coming out of 4 3 wide, 2x2. You just knew it was about to hit the fan.
So the way it is now, if you aren't 2 timing, you're a sitting duck
