UPS looks to be very happy with David's win on Saturday. They sent out a press release praising the win which is usual for the company. Thinks may be looking for David. Surprising what a single win does.

Ford plans on using the Fusion for the new car in Cup racing in 2013. That will pretty much kill any chance of seeing a Camaro  in Cup in the near future.

Mark Martin siad he has no plans to start his own team. Thou he would love to help out Frye who is the vice president / general manager of Red Bull. Casey and Mark just gonna switch spots?

That's why these companies spend big bucks to sponsor cars and drivers, they want the exposure. We all know that Mark is not ready for the retirement village yet, he would be a great mentor with any team he got involved with.

The smarter drivers don't want to use their own money on Cup teams!

Dumb Tony

Good evening, I trust everyone had a great 4th, Mark will land on his feet somewhere for sure, as far as Ragan goes we'll see what the future holds for him.

July 5, 2011  09:17 PM ET

Not trying to take anything away from Ragan but a plate track win is more luck than skill IMHO...but that would apply to anyone that won one.....so good for him.

LittleE; how are things in the North Country?

Bass Pro Shops has some sort of discount or free shipping when they win and other sponsors do too. Which really makes me wonder about Lowe's. They have a 5 time champ and you barely hear anything from them.

See Mikey Waltrip is in the #15 Darrell Waltrip Tribute TOY for the inaugural race at Kentucky Speedway this Saturday Night .....

Now that Ragan has his Daytona Restrictor plate win, he's liable to go and be successful as say Derrick Cope.

Can't imagine who could do a good job for UPS.

talk was UPS looking at the #33 RCR with Clint Bowyer

I read the UPS statement .... sound to me like the Kiss of Death / Kiss UPS sponsorship Good Bye

Lowes gives 5% off every purchase if you use a Lowes Card. That's because J.J. has 5 championships. A few years ago I bought new stainless appliances for the kitchen, we had the cash but Lowe's had a huge discount if you used their card plus super rebates on each of the 4 items we bought. Got the card, used it, paid the bill on receipt and saved a nice chunk of money. I have a weakness for Lowes and spend close to a hundred dollars when I go in there, even if I am just killing time. 5% every time is a little help. A month ago I went to buy some mulch and by the time I got done I had spent 200 plus dollars. Paid the bill the other day and saved over 10 dollars. It all helps.

Denny Hamlin, UPS on one side, Fed-Ex on the other side.

So he'd be pulling a Marcus Ambrose? (The #9 has Stanley and DeWalt as sponsors)
