So when a player plays in a high profile game such as the one UK played in against UNC this past weekend, you figure transfering is the furthest thing away from their mind.  Of course, when it was announced that Alex Legion was thinking about transfering, asked for a release, and is now rethinking the release something is going on in Lexington.  Now no one is sure if he is staying or leaving.

Honestly, if Legion leaves I am sure there is a good reason for it.  Maybe he wants to be closer to home in Michigan, after all, he did commit to the Wolverines before Tommy Amaker left the school.  It makes sense that someone young might want to go back home.  I understand that completly.  I went to school forty miles up the road and was homesick for a long period of time.

Alex Legion can play ball, that is for sure.  Maybe he was not getting enough playing time?  I'm not on the team, I'm not going to speculate on that reason.  I'm just a casual fan who wants to see his Wildcats do well.

Now rumors are springing up that if Alex leaves, than other players will leave.  Basketball is hard work, and if any one can make this situation work out it will be Billy G.

Regardless, I hope that Legion remains a Wildcat.  He's an exciting young player.  If not though, I hope he finds a place where he is truly happy, and able to improve himself as not only a ball player but a human as well.  Basketball is just a small diversion to the rest of the world right?
