James Harrison's remarks about Roger Goddell and his teammates were astonishingly stupid and cruel. Just imagine if an average corporate employee said those things about his fellow employees or boss. That person would be fired. And so should Harrison. He should be banned from the league forever.
This may be the only way he would learn how to behave in the adult world and may be the best lesson he has ever learned. I heard on sports radio this morning that the Steelers will have to weigh how good a player is against what he said in determining his punishment. If the Steelers are as upstanding an organization as they are said to be, this decision should be clear cut. Get rid of him. Don't trade him. Just let him go. I would be impressed if the Steelers did this. What he said showed no class, judgment and was, let's be honest, self-destructive and foolish.
Time to grow up, James. Have fun in the real world finding a job. And if you do, I dare you to say what you said in a typical corporate setting. You will lose your job again. Maybe your comments were meant to impress the world that you are tough, a free-thinker, unafraid to speak your mind. What you did was reveal what a mean person you are.
