Everyone on FN, you owe it to yourself to check out this throwdown, even if you dont normally check out throwdowns. Peter King of Sports Illustrated is challenging one of our own beloved Fannation Members BSchwartz, who is in Iraq right now fighting for our country but staying in touch on his laptop.
Peter King says Brett Favre is Sportsman of the Year. His reasons include NOTHING better than the resume of Tony Dungy, head coach of the Indianapolis Colts. Dungy won a ring, as a black coach no doubt, and he did it with a QB who was thought to not be able to win in the playoffs and a defense that sucked eggs all regular season! He got that D to man up and play like champions against the Ravens and Pats, then took down Devin Hester and the Bears in the rain.
Vote as you see fit, but Dungy is the MAN, Brett is a great guy who has had a great regular season run and gives to charity and is nice and he had a good game after his dad died, etc, etc. Vote for a championship Warrior, not a regular season wonder. Brett's last ring was in the mid 1990s.
