Make sure you have Bernard Berrian in on your fantasy team tonight. Rex Grossman clearly loves to throw the ball to Berrian. He trusts him and loves to take a few deep shots in every game. It is only a matter of time before one or maybe two deep shots connect. I think tonight is the night.
As for the game itself, we have two teams that blew sizeable leads last week. The Bears and Redskins both should have won their respective games.
On the surface, the Redskins lost lead appears to be worse because they lost it to Buffalo while the Bears were caught be a decent N.Y. Giants team.
Still, if either defense were really any good, they would not have allowed such comebacks against them. So we know we can't rely on either defense to win this game tonight.
The Bears offense is really close to clicking right now. They have a mentally fresh Grossman who is playing with a new kind of confidence after being benched. Their playoff hopes have been all but crushed, so I would expect Grossman to play free and easy tonight, which is when he is at his best. Adrian Peterson also seems to fit into this team a little better than Cedric Benson did.
Another advantage the Bears have is their health. They have two healthy tight ends in Olsen and Clark as well as a healthy and fresh Peterson and Grossman. Clinton Portis is banged up for the Redskins, and as much as I hate to bring it up, they are not mentally healthy yet after the passing of their teammate Sean Taylor.
All in all, there might be better bets available in the NBA games tonight, but if I were a bettin' man, I would take the Bears in this one. They are three point underdogs.
