Joey has the pole for Pocono, has the talk about Edwards possibley going to Gibbs and bumping him down the pecking order lit a fire under him?
Or just a flash because he is not the guy Gibbs thought he would be?

I try to watch or listen to every race,
It seems like a tough race to get excited about but this year has had some surprises.
I truly think Montoya has had several chances to win and the pits have done him in.
I think Logano is coming of age, as they say. The word is experience.

The weather sure isn't helping out Pocono any. It seems that it rains every weekend they have a race.
From the radar it looks like they might get hit with rain shortly before the green flag is supposed to drop.
I'm betting that Joey doesn't hold first place any longer than the first 5 laps. He'll finish somewhere around 15.

I have to take the gf on some post-surgery errands today, but I'm glad it's at least Pocono and wont miss much. I will still catch the last 50 laps or so later.
Montoya isn't that big a story (although I initially read it as "resigned" as in quit, and not signed a new contract. Where would he go if he did resign anyway??
My pick for today will be that the top 2 or 3 cars on the track will lead most of the laps, and then a fuel mileage gamble driver will win the race. I don't think he's got any more of a fire lit underneath him, but I'm going to pick Logano to win today. He was fast enough to win the pole, but he's rarely fast enough to be in the top 10 at the end. He knows this and is far enough out of the Chase that this is the place that he has to make a huge gamble on fuel if he can.
