Big 10 Lame and SEC are Cowards | USC Trojan Football's Blog

Many fools have cited tradition in the Rose Bowl matchup for Jan. 1, 2008 - USC vs. Illinois. The fact is that the Big 10 has never been weaker than in 2007. At the end of the 2006 NCAA football season Michigan and Ohio State were unmasked as lightweights by USC and Florida respectively. In 2007 the weakness in the Big 10 continues. We Trojan fans are bored with the Big 10 teams with the exception of Ohio State who will play in the BCS championship game on Jan. 8, 2008. The "Trojan Nation" wants to see our USC football team take on one of the elite teams from the SEC. Pac 10 vs. Big 10 Rose Bowl tradition is outdated in the new BCS system! The new rivalry should be Pac 10 vs. SEC in NCAA football - especially after LSU coach Les Miles shot his mouth off and called the Pac 10 weak and USC's strength of schedule "weak". College football sportswriters call the SEC the nation's best conference. Well, the nation's best conference should not be so afraid to play USC in a bowl game. Georgia would rather play Hawaii, and Florida would rather play the "toothless" Michigan Wolverines. Face reality SEC players, coaches, and fans; you guys all have big mouths, but when it comes to stepping out on the gridiron with the mighty USC Trojans you lack cajones and intestinal fortitude.

Nr 1 rea$on the Ro$e Bowl doesn't change is the fact that B-10 & P-10 College Pre$ident$ won't let it. They want to keep the $$$ for their schools, Go complain to YOUR people as they are the ones that are blocking an 8 team playoff that would produce the match-ups we ALL seek.
We in the SEC would LOVE a USC-LSU game this yr! Georgia v Oregon?
The game needs a PLAYOFF for the Elite 8 which could rotate around the Major Bowl sites so every on is happy.
But Pac-10 and Big-10 Prezzes won't LET it happen. Don't blame us, we have our own playoff!

Now you know how the Big 10 felt for the 30 years prior when they were forced to play an inferior Pac 10 conference year in and year out in the Rose Bowl. Now at least with the BCS that won't happen as often. You have no room to complain here.

ohh yeah, I think Oregon proved this year that there is nothing special about the Pac 10. How can a team have a depth of ONE? Even USC was unbearable to watch sometimes this year and only won games because of an above average defense. I don't think I've seen so many punts out of this USC team in 10 years.

You must be a child - do you not know that an SEC team was not invited?
We'd like NOTHING more than a chance to pop the trojan's bubble.
Keep in mind also that it's the Rose Bowl Committee that is holding the NCAA, BCS and the rest of College Football HOSTAGE !
Who is soooo scared of a play-off system that they threatened to "take their ball and go home" if the plus-one were adopted?

Guess you don't know - It was the PAC10 and BIG-10!
