Sooooo basically IMO Tejada now is not the Tejada he used to be. We have him for 2 years in this trade but what have we traded away?
Luke Scott - very promising and always there in clutch situations plus a fairly decent utility player
Matt Albers - great up-and coming arm that showed get talent (we already are lacking in the bullpen as it is)
Troy Patton - a very thoughtful, talented pitcher who was ranked for 48 out of all minor leaguers
Dennis Sarfate - while he was both a started and later a closer in Milwaukee, we didn't even see how he would fit into our organization before he was traded off (another pitcher we could have made good use of)
Michael Costanzo - a 3rd baseman we could have at the very least used in our farm system
Do I agree with the trade? Not sure yet, but I will tell you this much, looks like we can expect to trade Everett or let him go because it is looking to be a bit crowded at shortstop now. Which is very unfortunate because he is sucha great defensive player and I for one was very sad to see such a bad injury occur to him last season.
