The undefeated Washington Redskins look to improve to 3-0 with a Thursday night game against the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium. The Ravens are 1-1 following a 31-13 win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday. The meeting is the sixth in the last seven preseasons with the Redskins seeking their first win at M & T Bank Stadium.
The game will feature quarterback John Beck's first game against his old team. The same goes for cornerback Josh Wilson, linebacker Edgar Jones, receiver Donte Stallworth and guard Chris Chester.
Spotlight: The game features the two most prolific tacklers since 1998 in Redskins middle linebacker London Fletcher (1624 tackles) and Ravens inside linebacker Ray Lewis (1615).
The game will go along way determining who will make the final 53 man roster. The third preseason game is the closest thing to a regular season game with starters often seeing a full half of action.
Position battles to follow:
Quarterback: John Beck and Rex Grossman
Both have played well thus far with Thursday's performance against a fierce Baltimore defense a possible turning factor for one of them.
Running Back: Tim Hightower, Ryan Torain and Roy Helu
Would be a shocker if Hightower isn't the opening day starter with Helu the change of pace. Ryan Torain an injury concern and question mark.
Receiver: Anthony Armstrong and Jabar Gaffney
