The Mitchell report wasn't as terrible as I thought it would be.  I'll say I might have been a little wrong on that.  But honestly it was still pretty tame.  A lot of the names in there were people that were doing it just to see a game once or twice in their career that wasn't riding the pine...  The real question remains, is this it?

No way possible.

But then seriously, if not, where can we go from here? 

Can MLB re-negotiate with the players union for better testing standards or independent ones before 2011?  Are we doomed to see this continue until then, or would it continue past that time because all the fervor invoked at this moment had, perhaps, died down?

I know people always find a way to cheat.  But right now the testing we have in place cannot find those cheating now so how can they think this is EVER done or behind us?
