Read and weep people in football land.  We have scored a great person to lead our team to not only some victories, but to re-establish what Husker Power is all about.  The Nation of Red has risen once again and the Blackshirts are back.  Pass the crackers, I've got plenty of Cheese-**** left to go.

Anyway, I figure I should give my personal prediction on next season.  No, this is not led by any kind of drug, booze or sex influence.  Well, at 39 with three boys and a wife that hides or falls asleep with fear she may become pregnant with another die hard Husker fan...

I'll throw the following out with hopes that I won't have to burn anymore Husker t-shirts this year.  College football just rocks.  Don't you just love it.  I am so pumped for yet another year of upsets and cheerleaders.  Did I mention the Fairbury Hotdogs at Memorial Stadium?  Flew into Lincoln from our home here in Virginia (I was born in Seward), I had been pumping up my Missouri native wife for the 2 weeks prior, walked down to the stadium and watched my team win one...thank God.  Heard it the whole time, I went to all of the Missouri games, big deal.  SHE FELL OFF HER ROCKER when we entered the stadium.  What was her gribe after the game, "MY EARS ARE RINGING".  HELL YEAH BABY.

Anyway, here is my 2 cents without tax...come on, its the internet.

It actually sounds as if we will be keeping on all but 3 asst coaches and hiring a few additional. 2 of them are on the defensive side of the ball. So glad to get rid of Coz and Callahan. Oh, forgot to mention Pederson. Glad his sorry butt is back to Pittsburgh. Can't believe they are stupid enough to re-hire that moron.

The first 3 games should go smooth. My worries are the 3 after with VT, Missouri, and Tech. We get a 2 week break with ISU and Baylor but OU and KS are next up. VT loses most of its starting defensive line this year. Offensive runs like the past Huskers used to. If it wasn't at home I would think a loss might be on hand but not this year. Missouri comes to town also but I don't see Daniels running all over hell. Tech will fall at home to NU. So, midway I see a record of 5 wins and 1 loss possibly to VT or Missouri.

We will clobber ISU and Baylor (7-1). OU is at home which as usual sucks. Tough game but who knows. They will be gunning again so count that a loss (7-2). Kansas comes to Lincoln and this year the blow out won't happen. In fact, KU will suck. We win by 2 touchdowns (8-2). Kansas St., Colorado will fall also in Husker fashion (10-2). Well, we might make the Big 12 showdown but I see Missouri knocking a little louder.

Anyway, Missouri-OU in the championship again and then were off to a decent bowl game. 9-3 at the worst and 10-2 the best record possible in my prediction. Offense will be pretty solid with an even better line, good running game, use of more backs, Tight ends. Defense will be a lot more focused on stopping the run or minimizing the long gains on the ground. Passing defense will suffer but will be better than half of the schools out there. I would like to add, the linebackers and DEnds will look a lot different this year.

Good Luck next year and beyond.
I'd like to see the Husker-Sooner dynamic heat up again (i'm all about the crimson and cream)
mizzou might have something to say about that in the north, but hopefully pelini can get you in the right direction. go big 12

It would be nice to see OU on the schedule every year again. Great games. The Sooners are looking great and with recruiting, they shouldn't have a problem staying in the top 10 for a while. Hopefully the Big 12 can grow stronger. I am sick of hearing about the SEC.

Hi H-Chip, I agree you have some great talent and coaches, but better expect that the program will be turned around in increments. Good luck in 2008. It looks like the Teasips (Longhorns) and Sooners will be the class of the South again in 2008. Barring injury, Chase Daniel will take Missou to the top of the Big 12.
