OK-the horse I bet on in the Derby still hasn't finished. The Bulls lost by 26, and it wasn't really that close. I have to listen to a bunch of manic Spurs fans who know that their path to the finals was paved by Nellie and Baron Davis. I am a Chicagoan now living in San Antonio and let me tell you about Spurs fans-they make Cub fans seem well informed and rational. This one guy I work with claims that Manu Ginobili is a cross between Michael Jordan and Larry Bird. Thats the problem, you can't even argue with these people.

The White Sox are approaching some sort of team Mendoza line, and the best thing I have seen from the Bears since the NFC Championship game is the Brian Urlacher-Ortiz badmitten commercial. Speaking of backing the wrong horse, don't you think those vitamin water people are regretting having T-Mac as their resident sheep thrower? First the Mavs, then the Rockets. Can the Suns help complete the Texas triangle of woe?

One last thought. You've gotta figure that Barry Bonds isn't doing anything roid-like now, what with testing and all of the attention being paid him. Yet he is still huge and still blasting moon shots. He either got some really good, really long-lasting stuff or maybe, just maybe.........
