I think we are all in for a pleasant surprise when it comes to the Yankees young pitching talents. Joba Chamberlain, Phil Hughes, and Ian Kennedy will have very impressive years for the Yankees this year. Joba Chamberlain who heads the big three, I think will turn out to be the ace of this Yankees pitching staff for years to come. Can you imagine a Joba Chamberlain, Chien-Ming Wang, Phil Hughes, and Ian Kennedy rotation?! Talk about impressive, and a very good staff for years. Say, this whole starter thing dosent pan out for Joba, then in a way its ok. Becuase Joba has proven he can be a dominating set-up man for the Yanks, and can fill the bridge into the ninth for Mo. Out of all three, Hughes had the most innings pitched last year. Hughes had a 4 era, but displayed signs of greatness. He had a No hitter into the sixth inning until a hamstring problem sidelined him for a couple months. Then Hughes comes in in a tight ALDS game, and pitches a very impressive four innings. Ian Kennedy put up great numbers as well, he pitched 19.1 innings and he surrendered a 1.89 era...not bad for a rook. All three of these guys have shown what they can do in the majors, at points through there rookie season. I think these three will be the rocks of the Yankees rotation for years to come, and be a deadly force.
