Let's put the 2007 NFL season to rest for the (Broncos).  Now they're playing for (draft) position instead of playoff seeding.  One thing is certain, they wont have the first pick; that belongs to the worst record which is the (Miami Dolphins').  They need everything except for QB and Running Back.  Their biggest need is on defense, If not a pass rush specialist then a middle linebacker to replace (Al Wilson) which (DJ Williams) could not.  Assuming that all the changes will be done as usual on the defensive coaching staff then the new coordinator will want to pressure the opposition's QB and stop the run.  They (Broncos) will need as many suggestions as possible.  Please send your options for their first pick in the draft and your reasoning behind your choice.  My choice is local product (Colorado Buffaloes) linebacker Jordon Dizon.  Merry Christmas, Bronco Fans.

Not so sure where the Broncos will be drafting but if he's available James Laurinitis would be a great pickup. I agree with you that the Broncos need linebackers so the best one available at their pick is the one they take.

Agreed that Laurinitis would be great, DJ did an AMAZING JOB, but the OLB's slacked.

I would draft DT, but that is just me.

Good, job, even though I'm still a little angry at you for starting that group to fire Shanahan. And if they don't get Jimmy, say the Pats get them, which is bogus, I think we should pick up either Dan Connor or Chris Long.

Lynch no way we use another pick on a DE, used 2 last year plus Dumervil is a beast

The Broncos need to draft Frank Okam

December 18, 2007  12:19 AM ET

they need the first TEN picks overall...make that ELEVEN!

I dont think he should be a first round pick, but i think they should seriously go after Derrik Doggett from Oregon State. Hopefully he will be available in the second round. The guy is a beast against the run. He plays outside LB for the Beavers, but he will most likely play SS or FS in the pros. (6'3, 210) he had 85 tk (63 solo, 13 for loss) , 2 sacks and 4 int, 1 fumble and 3 passes broken up. He is the leader of the nations #2 rushing defense. Last year he had 87 tk (64 solo, 14.5 for loss) 5 sacks and 3 int. 1 fumble and 2 brkup. He plays in the pac-10 and is overlooked becuase of the great linebackers at USC...yet he has better stats then any of the LBs at USC. I say

sorry, i ended before i finished. I was going to say that the Broncos could really use this years draft to get some good young and quick LBs, FS and SS.

well, we could trade our first round pick to get jonathon vilma

Jamard Lindley out of UK made big plays or stealing the ball out of WRS hands like he did against Arkansas

broncos suck and will continue to suck next year.

I think you pick up Dan Connor. Then you let DJ and him battle for the middle spot and the other taking the weak side spot. I dont think that Ian did all that great last year so I would move him to strong side and fight Nate for the spot.

If Glenn Dorsey from LSU happens to fall to like spot 5 or more I say we should trade up and nab him much like we did Cutler. A good DT would make DJ and Ian better so its like helping 3 positions with 1 pick, well worth the second and third round pick it might take to pull it off.
