Did anyone watch the race?  Not many people in the stands.  Should they have rescheduled it for November?

I'm retired so I was able to watch a good part of it.  (Wife wouldn't let me get away with sitting in front of the television all day.)  I thought it was a pretty good race from what I saw.

If you watched it, what did you think of the commercial free race.  I loved it!  You got to see what was going on in the pits after a wreck.  The announcers actually kept it interesting.  I know ESPN couldn't afford to do that again but it was nice.

Bowyer was blaming Pablo for wrecking him.  Looked to me like Bowyer came up and didn't give himself enough room.

Junior was fuming about his car.  It seemed to fade as the race wore on, or maybe Junior was just pouting.  I'm afraid he's starting to sound like last year.

Gordon won his 85th race which moved him to third in most wins.

Jimmie finished second and I think now leads the chase.

current wild cards
WC1) #2-Brad Keselowski 3 wins, 728, -145 11th in points, with 3 wins IN the CHASE
WC2) #11-Denny Hamlin 1 win, 709, -164 12th in points, 1 win

out of top 10, no wins, can get in, only if they get a win and either #2 or #11 get in top 10 and #27 doesn't win at RIR
#43-Allmendinger, #33-Bowyer, #16-Biffle, #56-Truex Jr.,

in the top 20 with wins, possible for the wild card, would get in if wins at RIR

Three race winners are not inside the top20

#9-Ambrose is 21st, 7 points out of 20th

I pulled up my Trackpass on the computer at work and was able to listen/"see" the broadcast....that is until I was pulled away for the final 20 laps. I thought about taking the day off work and driving down to Atlanta to buy a cheap ticket and then find an empty seat in really good section. I guess I missed a great one to watch live.

or was it a 1-2-3 Hendrick finish .... with Tony using Hendrick equipment at SHR? ..

Does anyone know if SPEED or ESPN is going to rebroadcast this race?

QUOTE(#3):

I thought I had herd that JR. and Tonys finishes were as you posted only IF Brad K. wins in Richmond, correct.

Right .... say Brad K. finishes 10th at Richmond, and does not lead a lap ... Brad K. get 34 points + 728 = 762 ... then JR need to finish 34th, Tony 32rd ...

Denny to knock JR out would need to WIN and JR finish 41st or Worst ... to knock out Smoke would need Win 2nd or 3rd and Smoke finishing bad 40th ... or going Out before the Start n Park cars ...

BUT, the bottom Line .... Just WIN the damn RACE ... JR

This is Wrong too .... can not trust anyone ... out of top 10, no wins, can get in, only if they get a win and either #2 or #11 get in top 10 and #27 doesn't win at RIR
#43-Allmendinger, #33-Bowyer, #16-Biffle, #56-Truex Jr.,
#4-Kahne,
====
s/b Can get IN with a WIN and Lenny finishes bad ...

12 Denny Hamlin 709 1 Win
13 AJ Allmendinger 698 -11, behind Lenny so would need to WIN get 47 points and Lenny finishes 9th 35th points, or Worst ...
14 Clint Bowyer 697 -12, WIN ... Lenny 10th or less
15 Greg Biffle 681 -28, WIN ... Lenny 25th or less
16 Martin Truex Jr. 676 -33, WIN ... Leeny 31th or less
17 Kasey Kahne 667 -42, WIN ... Lenny 40th or less

This way they have more 1 WIN and more Points then Lenny ...

Just Watch the Damn Race ... OK, to see who IN ; -)

Now THIS is good advise

September 6, 2011  06:45 PM ET

And that ... Leading a Lap point ... so IF Lenny get that 1 point ... would need to finish 1 place back .... etc, etc, etc, ....

Being retired has it's benefits when they show a race on Tuesday.
Agreed that Bowyer was the bad guy on that one BUT Montoya could have lifted.
Jooonya is taking over for Kyle as the town CRYER.
Congrats to Jeff, what a finish, looked like dirt track racing.
