Well for a while now Ive thought a blog might be a good idea, a healthy way to get my honest sports feelings out there in the open. If people read it and like it thats awesome. If people read it and hate it thats awesome too. Im all about healthy sports debate because thats what being a fan is all about. A little background on my sports life goes something like this...born and raised in the heart of new england which means two things, red sox and patriots alll the time. As a kid plaed football and baseball, and followed both. So when i say a thing or two about either subject, it would be wise to take heed (just kidding i blow smoke all day every day). Played High school football each year, dropped it when college started. That may have been because during my senior year i caught a fever, soccer fever. During the 2005 champions leauge campaign i followed the two english teams Chelsea (now hated) and Liverpool (now hated but fondly respected) and absoluetly fell in love with the sport. During that summer I began to research soccer like crazy and became a huge follower of my countrys national team, the USMNT. During the next EPL (English premier leauge) campaign in became a die hard red devil, aka, a manchester united supporter. There was no turning back, and even though i thank liverpool for inspiring my interest, my heart was fully filled with love for manchester united. The style of play and team attitude is something i admire and will vouch for each and every time I come across a Chelsea blue.
So thats pretty much me, i wrote this so if i ever get into s sports battle of wits the other person might have an idea where im coming from. My next blog should be centered around the current state of new england sports dominance and the man u draw for the round of 16.
Give me a shout about what you think...
