Now it is known. Notre Dame defensive line recruit Omar Hunter of Buford, Georgia is going to take a trip to Gainesville. This has come as a big blow and shock to Irish fans. Hunter has expressed almost the entire year on how solid his verbal was to Notre Dame. Now, he may leave to go play under, of all people, Urban Meyer, the former Notre Dame assistant coach who passed up on the Irish in 2005, a big surprise to everyone around the program.
Hunter is a major recruit and it would be a bummer for Notre Dame to lose him. To read about Hunter and see a great picture courtesey of untitledproject at goldhelmet.com, click here.

playing time, prestige and national exposure are a few things that come to mind.

I actually have seen him play probably six or seven times live this year. The kid is amazing. But to ig, being on a good team can be a big part of where you go to. I am sure he would rather sit a couple of years on a great team than start after one year on a terrible team.
