I'm back today, as promise, with my fifth and sixth most interesting matches. I will also make a recap and predict the outcome of said match.
6. Olympiacos v. Chelsea- This is a very interesting tie. Chelsea are currently in turmoil and rumor says Drogba could be gone come time for the tie. Olympiacos, on the other hand are in a no-lose situation. All they have to do is come out, play hard, keep it close, and most people would consider that as a win. But, most of these guys are Greek, and you aren't going to keep them down with an attitude like that. Well, you guys knew it would be coming soon. I just had to do it this time. Yes, my key player for Olympiacos is goalkeeper Antonis Nikopolidis. A very good goalkeeper, you wouldn't know it by looking at his very grey hair, he can keep any game close. Just ask Real Madrid. The key to Chelsea is simple. Have everyone ready to play and be prepared to have to play without Didier Drogba.
Prediction: Although Chelsea is having a lot of trouble, I think they will win by a score of 4-1 on aggregate.
5. Celtic v. Barcelona- This one could get ugly, for both teams. Can you imagine if Celtic actually beat the side that is basically the consensus number 1? We wouldn't hear the end of it from IrishR#1, that's for sure. But it also could be ugly for Celtic. I mean look who they are playing, Ronaldinho, Henry, Eto'o, Messi, Deco, the list goes on and on. The main player for Barca I believe is going to be Lionel Messi. It looks as he ahs already passed Ronaldinho by, so it it his time to shine, and he must step up. The key to Celtic winning is that they have to play steady defence. I'll give to you that they have a good attack, but that won't win against a Barcelona team. I'm worried that they just don't have the tools to slow down a team of this caliber. But if anybody can beat Barca, it might as well be a team that is wearing green.
Prediction: Closer than the experts think. Barca 3, Celtic 1
