Here
we go, our weekly feature article on the two Thumbs Up and two Thumbs
Down. These are not necessarily the MVPs of the game, but players that
stood out to make a difference or who did something pretty poorly.
THUMBS UP:
REX GROSSMAN: Why? Easy. Consider the expectations that not just Redskins fans had, but fans across the NFL, poking fun at the Redskins for going with Grossman. That puts a big chip on the shoulder. Grossman started out the first two series looking nervous, but quickly settled in and looked in complete command and control of his offense. Grossman did have one of those Grossmanesque fumbles, but his defense bailed him out. Grossman threw for 305 yards and 2 TDs. Let???s face it as well, his offensive line should buy him dinner as well. Grossman tools some serious shots and often hung in to complete big passes. Grossman was one of the main reasons the Redskins start the season at 1-0.
