The Detroit Lions to do not care about their fans or Matt Millen would have been fired! The fact that William Clay Ford has not shown Matt Millen the door is a clear indication putting a winning football team on the field is not his top priority in Detroit. This is sad considering how loyal the Lions fans have been to their team. The Llons play down the stretch is indictment on Millen's ability as general manager. The Lions have a 1-6 record after starting the season 6-2 all but blowing a chance to make playoffs this season. Once again John Kitna has been sacked over fifty times this season. Didn't occur to Millen or Ford that selected offensive lineman to protect Kitna or taking defensive help would have been better than taking Calvin Johnson in the NFL Draft! If your offensive line can't protect the quarterback it doesn't matter how good your receivers are at catching the ball, and if you defense is ranked near bottom of three major defensive categories that include total points against, yards against, and passing yards your team not going to win many games in the National Football league!
This not including terrible draft selections Millen has made in the first round of the NFL Draft the list includes Joey Harrington, Charles Rogers, Mike Williams just to name a few. The best Detroit Lion fans can hope for is Clay comes to his senses fires Millen or better yet he sells the team to someone who does care about putting winning product on the field otherwise it will be more losing in Detroit to come!
