| 09:42 AM ET 09.13 | The owner of the Indianapolis Colts Jim Irsay must go out and sign David Garrard asap if the Colts have any chance of keeping their fan base . Even die hard fans are not going to sit in the stands or watch them on television if they are not competitive . What I witness Sunday only confirmed what I knew when they sign Kerry Collins and that is he is too old , and to slow , and should have stayed retired . But when Irsay went courting him to replace the great Peyton Manning how could you turn down four million easy dollars . Mr Irsay take your four million dollar loss and go out and sign David Garrard before somebody else signs him . He will play with somebody this year and as a Colts fan I say why not the Colts . He's big , mobile , hard to bring down , and has a descent arm , on top of that he's better than Kerry Collins . But if you're going to lose every game to get a shot at the number 1 pick in next years draft I rather lose with Curtis Painter than Collins . Please give Garrard a shot at leading this team and being competitive !
