It only seems fitting that Tim Wakefield would finally get win number 200 on a night that would be overshadowed by Mariano Rivera notching career save number 600 (1 away from the all time mark). Wake has been overshadowed his entire career because, and let's be honest, he's a gimmicky pitcher who throws a backyard pitch.
Truly glad I get to say I've seen the greatest pitcher of all time in Mariano Rivera, it's been nothing but a pleasure having him pitch for my favorite team. Class act, works hard, shows up and does his job.. and he's even better in the playoffs, how many people can say that?
