Looks like Clint Bowyer is close to signing with his new team next year. So the story goes he will be signing with MWR and be racing with Truex and Rueti next year. Looks like Clint will be moving to the Toyota camp next year (errrrrr)
Not sure if this is a step up for MWR or a step down for Clint and he is content to putter around treack and collect paychecks. Will have to see.
Richard Childress Grandson will be coming to Nationwide next year in a Black 3. I personally like seeing the colour and number but some do not. Maybe Clint sees wrinting on wall that Dillion will be a Childress driver in Cup in the not so distance future

I really don't care what they drive. I was a Kyle fan when he was driving Chevy and just followed him to Gibbs. I also liked Tony Stewart and did the same with him. It's the driver not the car in my book.

Childress should probably just stick with 3 Cup cars. He has done the 4 car experiment a couple of times now and it doesn't work out for them.
I am assuming you mean Austin Dillon is moving to Nationwide next year, because Chlidress has 2 racing grandsons. The kid has done very well in the Truck series, and is in contention for the championship this year. I look for him to hang out in Nationwide for a couple of seasons or so, probably until Jeff Burton's contract is up. From my understanding there is no plan to speed Austin through the ranks, just take it slow and get him experience.
And while Austin Dillon is said to be a good driver, his younger brother Ty Dillon is said to be a GREAT driver. He currently leads the points in ARCA, and leads the series in wins (7), all in his first full time run in the series. He ran 3 races last year and posted 2 wins and a 2nd place. He races for his grandfather, so draw whatever conclusions about his equipment compared to the other driver's on your own.

Yeah well you have to look at who Kodiak works for JK! ;)
And Kodiak look at it this way you are loosing Clint Bowyer, but gaining Kasey Khane!

I've watched Austin in the truck series (the black 3 makes him hard to miss) and I think he's done pretty good for himself. I wouldn't mind seeing the black 3 in Nationwide and then in Cup with that kid driving it.
I'm not as open minded as you are JK. Don't like anyone who drives a rice burner.

word is the sponsor of Clint at MWR, is going to be 5 - Hour Energy ....
has anyone try that stuff ? ... the ad better then Coffee, also at $2.95 / $3.95 per bottle ... can buy a lot of java for that $$ ...
wonder if then Stevie Wallace loses 5 Hour in NationWide ....
wonder if this means Micheal is finally going to Stop racing ...
remember RPM took themselves out of the Bowyer mix ... rumor is Vickers (Cheaper then Bowyer) to RPM ... but after the Ambrose / Vickers dust up at Richmond ... I say NO ...

I wonder where Mickey gets the money. He doesn't appear deep in sponsors, and it's not like he ever got the huge contracts and piled up winnings.
Think Toyota is primarily funding him?

I've never had it, but I have a couple of fiends who love it.
One of the guys at work the other day said that one of his former coworkers who worked third shift swore by it. Said it helped get him though the night. Mr. 5-Hour went to his doc one day and after some routine tests the doc found 5-Hour's liver readings abnormal. the guy stopped drinking the shots and after a few weeks everything returned to normal. So I wouldn't be surprised if we see some litigation in the next 5 years or so about adverse side effects from the energy drink.

He has been very loyal to his sponsors, and in turn they have been rather loyal to him. Although the rumor was Mikey had to beg Aaron's to become the full time sponsor of the #00 a couple of years ago, but they are still with the car today. Not saying Toyoda isn't dumping money into the organization, but probably not as much as you'd think, except maybe to sign Bowyer.

I got to have a sit down with the CEO of GM last week, Dan Akerson with about 30 others.
Was interesting and could listen to him for hours
He was talking about tsunami and how it showed how Toyota assemblied cars here and not build them here.
There is a diference.
You can assemble a car here with over 60 per cent of the car still being in made in Japan but you see this huge plant and say it is built here.

Don't forget all of Mikey's Napa and Arron's commercials. Say what you want about the man, but at least he doesn't take his public image too seriously.

I love his commercials and enjoy his commentary. It was fun watching him dodge "teammate" barbs this week on Inside NASCAR!
