Jeff Gordon has said he is thinking there was something fishy about Menard's spin last week. Possibley there is a second channel on the car and things were said.
Black boxes on the cars soon to follow?
Radio blockers ?
You had to know things were going to be said once teams got together. Weather they are true or not once there is more than one car on a team when does it become team orders?
I know F1 is pretty blatent about team orders.
I have saw guys leading by minutes and literly put his brakes on to let his teammate pass and get wins.
France said they are looking into the claims but what is he gonna be to do even if the find the grassey knowl pictures?
Maybe best to whitewash it and leave the conspiracies to us experts

I t wouldn't be as suspicious if Menard hadn't radioed the pits a little earlier and said " I think I have a tire going down" The C.C. said " we don't need a caution now"(emphasis on the now)
He then told Menard to switch to Channel 2. I believe in teammates helping each other but not to the point of cheating. I also don't believe in all the conspiracy theories and I can't see how this could be proved to be blatant.

It would also not be suspicious to assume he ha nothing to lose and teammate had everything to gain. They were also radioing him the 24 to 29 gap and lap times.
I think I .... whopps spun out, sorrrrry

The bottom line is that the spin helped his teamate, it didn't give him the race. Gordon's pit crew could have got him out faster, but they didn't. They have no one to blame but themselves.

Yep, it's all S and giggles until your driver is caught up in the fray...
This isn't the first or last time a driver has "caused" a yellow. How many times has NASCAR called a debris yellow that a driver called in?

Actually the pit crew did their job, the 24 and 29 got out first and second. The restart is the key. Gordon is notorious for not being the best and Harvick had a rocket ship all night on restarts. That was the only chance Harvick had and it just happened that way.

If Jeff did not have a lead and was not catchable and everyone knew it this would not have been a story to start with.

If the pit crews did their job then the 24 should have beaten the 29 out of the pits. They cam e in 24-29 and left 29-24. Maybe Harvick did a little speeding in the loops like drivers did at Bristol, but that is nothing new either the 48 has been doing it for years.

This is nothing more then a non-story being blown up by media hype because they feel the need to create drama.
If you want conspiracies look at the debris cautions, Jr's non-spin caution at Kansas, the 48 team pretty much every week over the past 7 years, and what really happened on the grassy knoll.

I understand your frustration, you are a Gordon fan. But if this had been Kyle Busch would we really be making a big deal about it? :p

The other suspicious part of this .... Menard is like 75-80 laps DOWN ... on lap 384 ...cause of Menard wreck back on lap 172 ... just riding around ...
If he had a Tire going down .... PIT ... even if the pit crew was not set up for him to come in ... could of had a Two Minute pit stop and it would NOT make a hill of beans on his finish ...
Menard was 34th and was going to finish 34th, ... on Lap 384 Menard could of Park IT ...
at best maybe 33rd if Vickers who was 9 laps ahead of Menard, put Ambrose into the Wall ...aka Boys have at it ... payback ...

I don't think it's a case of liking or disliking a driver, my feelings are that the #3 should be retired and that's it. I was a Dale fan but even if not I have respect for his career in Nascar and the least they can do is put that number to rest.

You know I would have been happy if it been Kyle, I can be a tad fickle lol

I'm on the fence with this one.....don't know if it was deliberate or not.....but so what, eithor way.....don't care who the driver is, you can take radio communications and twist their meanings any way you like.....Harvick probably would have won anyway.......just all media drama, as Raistwalker said (comment #10).
As for the Black 3, I agree it should be retired, out of respect for Dale....lots of other numbers out there to use..
