Imagine you are on your way to your favorite vacation locale. The weather is great and you can't wait to get there. You've been working toward this for months and the anticipation of it all builds by the minute. As you travel, a sign looms in the distance. 2 miles to go it says. You pull over and stop.
What's going on you ask? It's the vacation equivalent of a 2 minute warning. Ah, the 2 minute warning. The dumbest rule in all of sports. What is the point of it? Where does it come from? Just who is the #$%$#% -head who came up with it?
Why not just call it "our last opportunity to sell commercial time"? Can you imagine this happening in any other sport? Does it? None that I can think of. Then again I never knew there was such a thing as competitive cup stacking. (It's true)
